Shooting Etiquette and Safety

All archers are trained in safety on our beginners courses but please take a moment to read Safety rules and GNAS Etiquette and Safety which can be found on our website under resources. The most important command to remember is, FAST, when danger is recognised and all archers must cease shooting immediately.

During target days be aware of other archers on your target and in general, do not walk off the line if someone next to you is at full draw and do not talk in a loud voice whilst others are shooting (this is of more importance indoors when space is limited).

The target captain has full authority during the shoot so if he/she mentions something to you please do not get offended, they are there to ensure the safety of all members, maintain etiquette and make sure all club rules are being adhered to.
